Richard Swainson brings broad capability to Attewell that encompasses business strategy, sales and marketing, program management, operational excellence, and people development. He has extensive aerospace manufacturing experience with Rolls Royce and Meggitt across such product lines as metallic compressor blades and composites, with processes that include hot forming, welding, fabrication , machining, milling, pre-preg layup, and assembly. 

Most recently, Richard led the growth of a Meggitt business unit (3 sites) that increased revenues by nearly 40%, with about 85% of that growth coming from military applications. He has worked extensively with such customers as BAE, KAI, Embraer, Airbus, Boeing, and Leonardo.

We are pleased to have Richard leading the Attewell business. He is joining a high-performance team in its own right and under his guidance we look forward to strengthening and expanding our partnerships with customers and suppliers alike. We are confident that Richard’s background and leadership will accelerate Attewell’s product and capacity expansion as the aerospace market continues to recover and Attewell enters its next phase of growth.
