Extensive range of materials

As with all airframe components, it is vital that the correct material is used for each specific purpose. At Avantus, we are able to manufacture sheet products from a range of material to incorporate all your needs.  Our portfolio includes metals, such as titanium, aluminium, brass, carbon steel, beryllium copper and Inconel (a “super alloy”).  We also produce sheet products from non-metals, including phenolic, mylar, polyimide and composites.  We understand the needs of the aircraft industry for materials that are lightweight and cost-effective.  In addition, the specific properties of each material will need to be matched to the environmental stresses to which the product will be exposed.  Different locations in an airframe may require differing levels of resistance to elements such as heat, moisture, chemicals or UV. Our experienced team of engineers and technicians are always available for consultation and are happy to advise you on what would be the most appropriate material for your particular production needs.
