Avantus has been a world-leading manufacturer of low-cost, high-specification components for the aerospace and defence industries for many decades. With all the leading aerospace manufacturers as our customers, we understand the pressure the industry is under to achieve increases in quality, efficiency and design whilst reducing costs and driving down waste.
As technologies develop and aircraft design becomes more complex, manufacturing processes need to adapt. It is increasingly important that suppliers and manufacturers work together to ensure that individual components match up to the relevant design. This requires flexible systems for data exchange to enable complete integration of design concepts and environments, particularly when working across different sites. At Avantus, we understand this and are committed to providing the data exchange services that our customers need. We consciously add value for our customers at every stage of the design and production process. Engaging with data exchange services to facilitate this is a key part of what we do.
Engineering and data exchange services at Avantus
With the latest state-of-the-art equipment, we utilise top of the range industry standard engineering processes. This means that our systems facilitate interoperability in terms of engineering data exchange requirements. We deploy extensive CAD and CADCAM processes, CNC milling, turning and routing, photo chemical etching, water jet with tilting head capability, water jet cutting, sheet metal bending, click bond capability, blanking and forming and advanced inspection processes. All our engineering processes are designed to dove-tail with the production processes of our customers to maximise efficiency at every stage of airframe production. In conjunction with our sister companies, located in the UK, Mainland Europe and the USA, we are the largest producer of C-class components for airframes. We have the capacity to manufacture standardised, bulk items but also have the individualised relationships with our customers that mean we can produce smaller runs of bespoke, components for individual projects or prototypes. Central to this is the process in which our highly experienced engineers collaborate closely to ensure data integrity between us and our customers, resulting in point-to-point integration between all systems involved.
